Administrative Responsibility for Regulatory Compliance

Notice of Non-discrimination

Discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, or disability in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in the board of education's programs and activities is prohibited. Notice of the board of education's non-discrimination policy shall state as follows:

NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATION

Applicants for admission and employment, students, parents of elementary and secondary school students, employees, sources of referral of applicants for admission and employment, and all unions or professional organizations holding collective bargaining or professional agreements with the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis are hereby notified that this institution does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, or disability in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in its programs and activities. Any person having inquiries concerning the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis' compliance with the regulations implementing Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VI), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), Age Discrimination Act of 1975 (AGE), Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) or the Missouri Human Rights Act (MHRA) is directed to contact the Human Resource Officer at 801 North Eleventh Street, St. Louis, MO 63101; 231-3720. The Human Resource Officer has been designated by the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis to receive all inquiries regarding the institution's efforts to comply with the regulations implementing Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, AGE, ADEA, Section 504, ADA, and MHRA and to forward them to the appropriate officer for disposition.

This policy shall be disseminated on an annual basis by mailing the notice to all students and staff.

An abbreviated version of the non-discrimination policy shall also be prominently included in all handbooks, directories, manuals, catalogs, application forms, and newspapers which are made available to: Applicants for admission and employment; students and parents of elementary and secondary school students; employees; sources of referral of applicants for admission and employment; students and employee recruits; and all union or professional organizations which hold professional agreements with the-board of education. This abbreviated version shall state as follows:

The Board of Education of the City of St. Louis does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, or disability in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities.
