Principle I: Academic Achievement

A quality education is the key to a successful future: it determines the quality of our students’ lives and the lives of future generations.

Goals
The number of students participating in the District-sponsored preschool program will increase by ten percent each year for four years

All primary students will demonstrate grade-level proficiency by the end of the third grade

The District will meet the Adequate Yearly Progress criteria of the federal “No Child Left Behind” legislation

Eighty percent of students will achieve at or above proficiency on the Missouri Assessment Plan (MAP)

Ninety percent of all high school students will graduate and be prepared for postsecondary educational opportunities
