Under the Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plan, you may elect
to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for certain benefits, Health
Care Reimbursement (Health FSA) and/or Dependent
Care Reimbursement (Dependent Care FSA). This Plan helps
you because the benefits you elect are nontaxable, which means
that:
• Pre-tax contributions are withheld from your gross income before any
applicable federal, state and local taxes have been deducted and
• You save social security and income taxes on the amount of your salary
that you contribute to the plan.
As a participant in the FSA Plan, pre-tax contributions are deducted from
each paycheck (24 deductions for 12-month employees and 20 deductions for 10-month
employees) for the upcoming plan year. These deductions will appear as a credit
to your FSA account. As you incur eligible expenses, you will submit a claim
form for either Health
Care Reimbursement and/or Dependent
Care Reimbursement to be reimbursed from your account. To view all account
activity including contributions, claims, payments and account balances go
