St. Louis Board of Education Elects New Officers

During its regular scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 12, the St. Louis Board of Education elected new officers. The following will serve as board officers for one year:

Peter Downs, President

David Jackson, Vice President

Flint Fowler, Secretary

Outgoing Vice President William Purdy said, “We are fortunate to have Board members who are compassionate about the St. Louis Public School District and the 33,000 students we serve on a daily basis. The Board looks forward to moving forward and focusing on providing all of the resources needed for our students to achieve in the classroom.”

Peter Downs was elected to the Board of Education in April 2006, David Jackson in April 2007, and Flint Fowler in April 2005.
