BEAUMONT HIGH SCHOOL SPONSORS HEALTH AND WELLNESS RESOURCE FAIR

April 4, 2005)—Beaumont High School, located at 3836 Natural Bridge, will sponsor
a Health and Wellness Family Resource Fair from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, April 8. Participating vendors will include HealthCare USA, Mercy MC plus, People’s Health Center, Division of Family Services and other agencies. Both events will be held at the school.

The fair is an extension of the Pregnant and Parenting Teen Speakers series, which provides students an opportunity to receive valuable education on pre-natal care and best parenting practices. “Our mission is to promote health education, healthy lifestyles and prevention,” said principal Travis Brown. “We strategically planned our fair along with parent conference day to attract students and their parents and at the same time, get the community out.” On the same day, parents will have the opportunity to talk with teachers about their sons and daughter’s academic progress during Parent Conference Day.
