Board of Education approves Dr. Creg E. Williams
contract
(April 11, 2005) – The St. Louis Board of Education
voted to approve a four-year contract for Dr. Creg E. Williams.
The vote is the final step that will make Dr. Williams the
district’s 34th superintendent. Dr. Williams will serve
as the chief executive officer and educational leader of the
largest public education system in the state of Missouri, overseeing
38,000 students and 92 schools. Dr. Creg E. Williams recently
served as the Deputy Chief Academic Officer in the School District
of Philadelphia for two years. His team developed a comprehensive
five-year strategic plan, known as the Secondary Education
Movement, to move Philadelphia’s high schools forward. |
