BOARD UNANIMOUSLY VOTES TO REMOVE PRESIDENT
St. Louis – Veronica O’Brien, who has served as
president of the St. Louis Board of Education since last April,
was removed from that post today after a 6-0 vote by the Board
of Education. Ms. O’Brien will remain an elected board
member.
In the interim, Vice President William (Bill) Purdy will oversee
the board office, convene and run board meetings, and perform
other duties of the board president until the election of board
officers occurs in June.
