St. Louis Public Schools Foundation Celebrates Social Workers
Special Celebration Honors Dedicated District Employees

(St. Louis) – In celebration of the 100th anniversary of School Social Workers in America, the St. Louis Public Schools Foundation will be honoring St. Louis Public Schools Social Workers on today from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the district's administration building, 801 North 11th Street. A formal short program will be at 5:00 p.m.

The St. Louis Public Schools Foundation is seeking to purchase a laptop computer for each of the 42 school social workers so they can more effectively provide services to the students in their schools. The Deaconess Foundation has donated funds to purchase four computers and the Dean of the George Warren Bown School of Social Work, Dr. Edward Lawlor, has personally donated funds to purchase a computer.
