Schools are encouraged to commemorate the life of former President
Gerald R. Ford
St. Louis – All schools in the St. Louis Public School
District will reopen as planned on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
“Our
principals and teachers are ready for the return of our 33,000
students,” said Dr. Diana Bourisaw, Superintendent
of Schools. “While our students will be in school during
the national day of mourning for former President Gerald R.
Ford, I encourage teachers to discuss with students the accomplishments
of our country’s 38th president,” she said.
