ARTICULATION SIGNING CEREMONY SCHEDULED AT CAREER
ACADEMY
SLPS STUDENTS HAVE UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN
COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE REMAINING IN HIGH SCHOOL
The St. Louis Public Schools has a unique program that gives
students the opportunity to get a jumpstart on gaining college
credit. It’s called the Articulation Agreement. The program
allows students to earn college credit while taking rigorous
courses in their respective high schools. Students and staff
at Clyde C. Miller Academy will have an Articulation Signing
Ceremony February 28.
Participating schools are Robert Morris College; Vatterott
College; Jefferson College; St. Louis Community College; Southern
Illinois University at Carbondale; Patricia Stevens and Linn
State Technical College.
“The aviation maintenance program at Gateway High School
has an agreement with SIU-Carbondale that allows students to
receive up to 37 credit hours,” said Patty Halter, coordinator
of the vocational assessment program, “so students who
complete our program and the requirements of the agreement
can earn significant college courses.”
