Israeli Consul General Speaks to Soldan High School Students
(St. Louis) – Israeli Consul General Barukh Binah will
speak to Soldan International High School students on Thursday,
February 22, 2007. General Binah will talk about the role of
the United Nations in peace keeping.
Consul General Binah has been a member of Israel’s Foreign
Service since 1979. He was appointed Israel’s spokesman
and press officer in New York in 1985, and became counselor
for congressional affairs at the Embassy of Israel in Washington
D.C. in 1992. Mr. Binah took his current position as Consul
General of Israel to the Midwest in 2005.
“We are excited that Consul General Binah will visit
our school,” said Dr. Thomas Cason, principal of Soldan
International Studies. “We have a diverse population
of students, and it’s important for our students to learn
from dignitaries from other countries.
