Beaumont High School Holds Pep Rally for Cory Spinks & Don King

(February 1, 2005) – Cory Spinks the Undisputed World Welterweight Champion and Don King, a world renowned boxing promoter, will attend a pep rally on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 12:00 p.m. at Beaumont High School. Cory Spinks a St. Louis native attended Beaumont High School until he turned to boxing full time. “The students and staff at Beaumont High School are proud of Cory and we want to show him how much we appreciate what he is doing in the boxing industry,” said Travis Brown principal at Beaumont. “Whenever Cory is in St. Louis, he always stops by to visit our school, he is a proud person and we are proud of him.” Spinks will put his title on the line on February 5, at the Savvis Center in a boxing match against Zab Judah promoted by Don King Productions.
