HELICOPTER TO LAND AT GATEWAY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY TODAY AT 12:30 P.M.
Female students to learn about careers in aviation

St. Louis – A special assembly will be held today for female students at Gateway Institute of Technology, 5101 McRee Ave., to provide them information on the expanding career opportunities for women in aviation. The assembly, with a special guest speaker from Women in Aviation International, will begin shortly after a helicopter lands at the school’s football field today at 12:30 p.m.

Gateway Institute of Technology, the largest magnet high school in St. Louis, has an aviation maintenance program which allows students to get hands-on experience working on airplanes and helicopters.

The fly-in is part of the 2007 Midwest Aviation Conference and Trade Show being held this weekend at St. Louis University.
