St. Louis Magnet Schools Lottery Completed for 2008-09 School Year

The lottery for placing students into St. Louis Magnet Schools for the 2008-2009 school year was completed on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. The lottery assigned each applicant a random number. The students were then sorted in order – from lowest to highest – using this randomly assigned number. The sorted list is now being used by district staff to place students into open seats in the St. Louis Magnet School(s) requested on their applications. Beginning Monday, January 28, acceptance notices will go out as the placements are completed. All acceptances will be completed and notices mailed on or before Friday, February 15. Non-acceptance notices will also be mailed on this date.
