Board of Education will vote on 2005-2006 budget

(Wednesday, July 6, 2005) The St. Louis Board of Education will vote on its annual budget at a special Board meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Carr Lane VPA, located at 1004 N. Jefferson. The Board voted unanimously on June 14, 2005 at its regular Board meeting to consider and vote on the 2005-2006 annual budget. Superintendent Creg E. Williams and his administrative staff will present the budget to the public at 7:00 p.m.

The Budget presentation will include information on:

• Staff Balancing
• Cost Reductions & Efficiency
• Educational Investments

The special Board meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. with a closed executive session to discuss personnel matters. Immediately following the executive session there will be an open session meeting at 7:00 p.m. The agenda for this meeting will include an opportunity for public comment as required by district by-laws.

The administrative meeting will convene immediately following the open session meeting.
