RAMS PLAYER TALKS HEALTHY NUTRITION
WITH COMPTON-DREW STUDENTS
St. Louis Rams Tony Hargrove stopped by to share nutrition
tips with students from Compton-Drew Investigative Learning
Center on March 16. Hargrove signed autographs, t-shirts and
took pictures with students. The event helped bring attention
to National Nutrition Month.
ARAMARK provides all meals to SLPS students and has recently
changed the menus.
“We are committed to the health and nutrition of our students. As our
partner, ARAMARK is ensuring that we meet this commitment head on,” said
Dr. Craig E. Williams, superintendent of schools.
Eighth grade students Derrion First and Dave Hall were excited
about meeting Hargrove and getting his autograph. “ It
feels really great to see a Rams player in person,” said
Dave.
“I really like how he presented himself to us.”
Hargrove, a graduate of Georgia Tech, is a defensive end and
has played for the Rams team for three years.
National Nutrition Month focuses on the importance of making
healthy food choices and developing sound eating and physical
activity habits.
