PRINCIPAL OF SOLDAN HIGH SCHOOL TO BE RECOGNIZED BY MISSOURI
HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
St. Louis -- Dr. Thomas B. Cason, principal of Soldan International
Studies High School in St. Louis will be recognized as an outstanding
principal on the floor of the Missouri House of Representatives
tomorrow, March 6, at 9:40 a.m., in Jefferson City.
Dr. Cason has served as the principal of Soldan High School
for seven years, and has worked for the Saint Louis Public
Schools for over twenty two years. Prior to becoming principal
of Soldan, Dr. Cason was the Assistant Principal at Sumner
High School.
Dr. Cason is a recipient of the 2004 Ambassadors in Education
Principal Leadership Award, and was one of ten principals in
the United States recognized by the MetLife Foundation and
Nation Civic League. He has been recognized as an outstanding
principal by the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis and
the National Council of Negro Women, and was featured in the
third edition of Who's Who in Black St. Louis.
Dr. Cason will be accompanied to the capital by several Soldan
High School teachers and current students.
