CALLING ALL SLPS GRADUATES FROM 2001 TO 2003
District continues
its efforts to gather information requested by state officials
St. Louis -- The St. Louis Public School District (SLPS) is
continuing in its efforts to locate students who graduated
between 2001 and 2003, especially those graduates who continued
their education after high school by attending college, a technical
school, career/job training, or military service within six
months of graduation. If you graduated from a St. Louis Public
School during that time, please visit our website at www.slps.org
and complete our online form.
Graduates are asked to provide their current contact information,
year of graduation, school attended, and any post-secondary
training they received. District staff will contact the responders
as soon as possible.
On Feb. 1, the District was given a deadline of Feb. 28 to
provide the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
(DESE) more detailed information to validate previously submitted
data regarding graduate placement. Should the State Board of
Education accept the data presented earlier this year, the
District would likely remain provisionally accredited.
“While our deadline to submit data to the Department
of Elementary and Secondary Education has passed, we continue
to work towards locating previous graduates. However, despite
our best attempts, we’ve had difficulty in locating students
who graduated between 2001 and 2003 as many of those individuals
have moved,” said Dr. Diana Bourisaw, Superintendent
of the St. Louis Public Schools.
