CLYDE C. MILLER HOSTS SENIOR CAREER EXPO
(St. Louis, Mo)— On May 14, seniors at Clyde C. Miller
Career Academy will demonstrate the skills they learned during
internships they held with a variety of local and national
firms during the school’s Senior Career Expo. The students
will have the opportunity to improve their public speaking
skills as they make presentations to business leaders, school
administrators, and parents.
“The student is to demonstrate what they have learned
in their internships and how their academics helped prepare
them for a successful internship,” said Patty Halter,
coordinator for Career and Technical Education. The school
places special emphasis on technical programs involving businesses,
industry and advisory members representing a variety of St.
Louis area companies.
Some of the participating companies include Walgreens, Edward
Jones, Westin Hotels, Monsanto Research Lab, and Forest Park
Hospital. “The success of our career training programs
is directly tied to the support of our corporate sponsors,
and we appreciate their willingness to provide these internship
opportunities to our students,” Halter said.
