Bicyclist Chris Figureida Visits Shenandoah Elementary School

for Heart founder attempts to ride bicycle across country for
a good cause
St. Louis – Students at Shenandoah Elementary will
receive a special message from bicyclist Chris Figureida about
the importance of staying physically fit in school. Figureida
is riding his bicycle from Ventura, California to Lubec, Maine
to benefit the American Heart Association.
“Child obesity is a growing problem in the U.S., especially
amongst inner-city children. It is a combined goal of the American
Heart Association and me to educate this segment of the U.S.
population,” stated Figureida.
Figureida starting riding his bicycle in Ventura, California
on April 14. He will travel 3,746 miles in 52 days averaging
72 miles per day.
