St. Louis Public Schools Announces “Coats
for Kids” Drive
Donated coats, mittens, or hats can be dropped off
before Nov. 16
St. Louis – The St. Louis Public Schools is teaming
with several community partners to collect new or gently-worn
coats, and new hats, mittens and gloves, that will be given
to students in the district. Washington University’s
Center for Advanced Learning (Cornerstone), St. Louis University,
St. Louis Community College-Forest Park campus, the St. Louis
Public Schools Foundation, and local churches are also helping
to reach the goal of collecting 3,000 coats by Nov. 16.
Items may be dropped off at St. Louis Public Schools Central
Office, 801 N. 11th Street, weekdays between the hours of 8:00
a.m. and 4:45 p.m., or at any of the following Community Education
Centers between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (with
the exception of Veteran’s Day on Nov. 10):

The district will accept new or gently-used coats for boys
and girls with sizes that will fit students ranging from preschool
to high school. Donated hats, mittens, and gloves must be new
in order to be accepted. All donated items will be distributed
to students in the St. Louis Public Schools by district social
workers.
