A Century of Educational Excellence at Shaw VPA

St. Louis –Shaw Visual and Performing Arts Elementary School turns 100! To celebrate the anniversary, they are hosting an open house on Thursday, October 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The school is located at 5329 Columbia Avenue.

Special activities and photo opportunities include:

• Second through fifth grade classrooms will participate in activities that highlight the decades that Shaw has been open.

• Kindergarten and first grades will put on a fashion show featuring the various styles of the past 100 years.

• Preschoolers will be dressed like famous children's literature characters.

• At 1 p.m., guests will be treated to refreshments.

• At 2 p.m., there will be a short student performance.
