RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY SCHEDULED FOR NORTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL

(St. Louis, Mo)—A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the Northwest High School Law and
Transportation Academy at 10 a.m., Friday, September 8, at the school, located at 5140 Riverview. Northwest was formerly a high and middle school. The academy opened this August as a small high school with emphasis on intimate class sizes and individualized instruction. “ I am excited about what our small high school will mean to students, parents and this community,” said principal Valerie Carter.

“The school’s mission is to provide an academically rigorous educational program that prepares
students for success in college and the workplace.”

The school’s focus is law enforcement, automotive maintenance and technology with
partnerships with local universities, corporations and police departments.
