MACY’S DEPARTMENT STORE PARTNERS
WITH ST. LOUIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS
(St. Louis, Mo)—Over four hundred Macy’s employees
will volunteer at the St. Louis Public Schools
for the company’s program entitled “Give Back Day” scheduled
for September 15. “We are excited to have Macy’s
volunteers work with our students,” said Dr. Diana Bourisaw,
Superintendent of the St. Louis Public Schools.
Here are highlighted scheduled activities to be held on Sept.
15:
* 8:45 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.- Ninety 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
from Bryan Hill will participate in
Cookie-decorating exercises at the school, located at 4342
Aldine.
* 9 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.-A special athletic day will be held
at Carnahan High School of the Future,
4041 South Broadway. Trophies, lunch bags and t-shirts will
be given to students. In addition, a
landscaping and college resource center will be set up at the
school for 150 eighth and ninth grade
students. Students will plant trees and mums and get helpful
information about college resources.
* 10 a.m. until 1:15 p.m.- One hundred and fifty eighth grade
Compton Drew ILC students will travel
to the St. Louis Science Center for a day filled with learning
activities.
*10:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.- Volunteers will take a special
field trip with Mullanphy ILC students.
They will visit Missouri Botanical Garden and enjoy a sack
lunch near the Emerson Pavilion Pond.
