ST. LOUIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS REACH 99.9% OF PROJECTED ENROLLMENT IN FIRST FOUR WEEKS
Attendance goals set for all schools also proves to be successful

St. Louis – Dr. Diana M. Bourisaw, Superintendent of the St. Louis Public Schools, today announced that the district’s enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year reached 34,086, or 99.9% of the projected enrollment as of last Friday, the end of the first four weeks of school.

“I’m confident that before long our district will exceed our projected enrollment,” Dr. Bourisaw said. “The increase in enrollment during the first four weeks of school is a very positive sign for our district,” she said.

Earlier this month, Dr. Bourisaw set attendance goals for all schools to meet or exceed, including 90% for high schools, 92% for middle, and 95% for elementary. The schools with the highest attendance rates during the first four weeks of school include:

High Schools

Metro Academic and Classical High School (98.52%)
Clyde C. Miller Career Academy (94.92%)
Cleveland NJROTC (94.33%)

Middle Schools
