ST. LOUIS PUBLIC SCHOOLS REACH 99.9%
OF PROJECTED ENROLLMENT IN FIRST FOUR WEEKS
Attendance goals set for all schools also proves
to be successful
St. Louis – Dr. Diana M. Bourisaw, Superintendent of
the St. Louis Public Schools, today announced that the district’s
enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year reached 34,086, or
99.9% of the projected enrollment as of last Friday, the end
of the first four weeks of school.
“I’m confident that before long our district
will exceed our projected enrollment,”
Dr. Bourisaw said. “The increase in enrollment during
the first four weeks of school is a very positive sign for
our district,” she said.
Earlier this month, Dr. Bourisaw set attendance goals for
all schools to meet or exceed, including 90% for high schools,
92% for middle, and 95% for elementary. The schools with the
highest attendance rates during the first four weeks of school
include:
High Schools
Metro Academic and Classical High School (98.52%)
Clyde C. Miller Career Academy (94.92%)
Cleveland NJROTC (94.33%)
Middle Schools
Humboldt Middle School (98.77%)
McKinley Classical Junior Academy (98.09%)
L’Ouverture Middle School (97.84%)
Elementary Schools
Adams Elementary (99.81%)
Bryan Hill Elementary (98.72%)
Kennard CJA (98.34%)
