Employee Discount Program

The Purchasing Department is committed to using the buying power of the St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS) district and staff to obtain the best possible value for district and employee dollars.  To that end we have begun to engage many of the district vendors in conversations about trade discounts, volume discounts and employee discounts.  During the course of these conversations we have managed to negotiate better pricing on district purchases from many of our vendors.  We are currently in the process of creating a list of preferred vendors who have during the course of these negotiations demonstrated a commitment to giving the district the best value for its dollars.  We will distribute our list of preferred vendors in the near future.

In addition to producing discounts for the district, our efforts have produced some residual discounts for the SLPS staff.  Office Depot is the first of many vendors to graciously step up to the plate by offering an exciting new SLPS staff discount plan on personal purchases.  Under the terms of the plan, all SLPS staff will be eligible for a 10% discount on all Office Depot items except technology items.  Additionally, SLPS staff will receive a 5% discount on all technology items. 

Please be advised that this is the first of many offers that the Purchasing Department will make available to our staff.  Thank you for your invaluable work and commitment to the children of SLPS.  And don’t forget to keep an eye out for that list of preferred vendors.
