What is RSS
RSS = Really Simple Syndication

RSS is an easy way to keep up with the latest news online.

RSS lets you know when a web site is updated, as long as that site has an "RSS feed."

To sign up for an RSS feed, you need something called a "news reader." This is a piece of software that checks RSS feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added to them.

One kind of news reader is your My Yahoo! home page. If you have a Yahoo! e-mail account, you can easily create a My Yahoo! page. Find other news readers.

RSS is a kind of XML (eXtensible Markup Language). Most sites have one of the following icons to let you know you can sign up for an RSS feed:
