Degrees and Certifications:
Miss Elizabeth Hess
This year marks my second full year of teaching high school science. I believe that all students can learn. I got my Bachelor's in psychology at Ashford University and I got my teaching certificate and Master's in biology at Eastern Illinois University.
This year I am teaching Freshman Physics and Senior Environmental Science. Quarter one in physics, we are focusing on how helmets save lives. We are exploring Newton's Laws and applying them to helmet designs to ultimately "save" an egg from impact. Second quarter in physics, we will be focusing on if we will ever run out of energy. Students will e designing, building, and refining a device that converts one form of energy into another form of energy. Third quarter in physics, we will be focusing on how we use energy to communicate with one another. Fourth quarter we will answer the question, "Why don't we fall through the floor?"
