The sixth annual Licensing and Business Resource Fair will take place during theSt. Louis Public Schools'Back to School and Community Empowerment Festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 4 at Chaifetz Arena atSaint Louis University.

Partnering with the St. Louis Public Schools' event will give business owners the opportunity to pre-register their children for school while paying delinquent licensing fees, taxes and penalties, saidCharlotte Ottley, director of communications and special initiatives at the office of the License Collector.

She said the event also serves as a convenient way to bolster pre-registration participation for the upcoming school year. Free book bags, school supplies, health screenings and other free services will be available at the event.

This free event attracted 13,000 people and more than 200 service providers last year. This year, they already have 200 service providers planning to attend without doing significant promotion yet, Ottley said.

The Licensing and Business Resource Fair is a collaboration between the offices of St. Louis License CollectorMichael McMillan, and the St. Louis Collector of RevenueGregory Daly.
