SLPS Regain Provisional Accreditation
FOX 2 NEWS
(KTVI) – St. Louis Public Schools have regained provisional accreditation. The Missouri Board of Education voted to restore provisional accreditation on Tuesday. But that means the school district is still under the direction of a state-appointed board.
Provisional accreditation means they have met some of the standards for full accreditation. St. Louis Public Schools lost their accreditation in 2007 after the district failed to meet minimum performance standards. There are 14 standards. Districts must meet six to keep their accreditation.
