Biography:  I grew up in the St. Louis County area attending Affton and Mehville/Oakville School
Districts. In high school and college I worked at The Magic House.  I earned my Associates of
Arts degree from St. Louis Community College in 2000.  Transferred to Webster University where
I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Science and Social Science in 2002.
I married my wonderful husband and we moved out to the country. I began my teaching career at
a small Jefferson County school where I taught for 13 years. I made the move to McKinley in 2017
to teach science full time. I love teaching science and encouraging our gifted learners to explore
the world around them. I graduated in May of 2020 with my Masters in Gifted Education from
Lindenwood University.  My husband and I have two wonderful teenagers that keep us busy with
all their activities. My current classroom pet is a guinea pig named Bugsy.

I love my family, being a teacher, frogs, turtles, most bugs, the St. Louis Cardinals, Dark Chocolate, and Amazon.
