I’m Pinkie Lawshee, the special education resource teacher, for Kennard and Mallinckrodt. This is my 27th year working for Saint Louis Public Schools. I’ve also had the pleasure of working as a self-contained teacher of autism, behavioral disorder, and a diagnostic teacher. During my resource position at various schools, I’ve worked with students with learning disabilities in core academic areas. I feel blessed to have experienced this ever-changing journey.
Some of my favorite social activities in life eling and visiting museums with family and friends. I enjoy attending Powell Symphony concerts and going to the theatre. I’m happy to say these are passions I acquired while working with Saint Louis Public School students during student field trips!
My desire this and every school year is helping students reach age-appropriate academic, social, emotional, and behavioral milestones. Assisting students in developing independent learning strategies in these areas will benefit them in their future life endeavors.
