Welcome to Mr. Carpenter's web page.

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and grew up there until moving to St. Louis in 2011.  I have been teaching Social Studies in middle and high school since 2005.  I have a BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History from Arizona State University.  I am currently working towards a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at Webster University.  This is my 8th year teaching in SLPS and my 5th year at NCNAA.

I am a firm believer that students excel in an environment that they feel comfortable in.  I strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where students feel safe to take risks and learn at their own pace.
