Ms. Ribbon Williams EdS

My name is Ribbon Williams and I am a proud 2016 graduate of Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU). I graduated from HSSU with a Bachelor of Arts and Science- in Elementary Education and a minor in Educational Psychology. Additionally I obtained my Master of Arts in Education in 2017 and my Educational Specialist-Instructional Leadership degree from Lindenwood University in 2019. I am certified to teach 1-6 grade and K-12 special reading through The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
I am the mother of 6 amazing children and grandmother of 3 equally amazing grandchildren. This is my 5th year teaching and I am also a full-time student seeking my EdD (Doctor of Education).
My accomplishments, memeberships, and professional development include:
-Marilyn Burns Math Solutions Training -Maryville University. -Teach for America Partner Teacher- Selected by Saint Louis Pubic School District to serve as instructional mentors to Teach for America Teacher Interns. -Education Plus: Professional Learning Community summer academy- Professional Development in areas specific to growth in school improvement philosophy and processes in preparation for team leadership roles in transforming schools into a professional learning community. -Math Talks Trained Educator -Saint Louis Plan Intern Graduate- SLPS -Facilitated Summer School Professional Development Sessions -Nominated by Collegial Institution to take part in pilot study for the development of education certification testing (Participation completed). -University Accreditation focus group participant. -1st year teacher focus group for education program development. -Urban Mathematics Institute project participant- Focus to improve mathematics achievement for young students in grades 3-5 through an intensive professional development program is designed to increase mathematics content knowledge and teaching skills, member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorperated.
My passion for education is ongoing and I am excited to learn with you and your students this year.
