PHD, Manager of Operations in Cornerstone: The Learning Center at Washington University
Dr. Kimberly Morton is the Manager of Operations in Cornerstone: The Learning Center, her primary responsibility is to provide management of the day-to-day operations. She provides leadership in developing and implementing Cornerstone’s services to ensure high-quality, effective experiences for students. Dr. Morton has served as the Special Assistant to the President at Trinity Washington University, her portfolio included Institutional Research. Dr. Morton had the pleasure of serving President Obama in the role of Special Assistant, in the Office of Communications and Outreach, External Affairs at the U. S. Department of Education in Washington, DC. She served in the Obama Administration for three and a half years, while also serving as an adjunct professor at the University of the District of Columbia’s Community College, where she taught in the Social Sciences department.
Dr. Morton has 18 years of education experience on the middle school, high school, collegiate, non-profit and federal levels. She has a passion to work with underserved and marginalized students, providing academic resources, college access opportunities and assisting students with navigating their path to graduation.
