Gateway Academic Instructional Coach PreK - 2

  • Janet Humphrey

Greetings Parents and Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!!

I am one of the Academic Instructional Coaches at Gateway Elementary. I'm a life-long learner who graduated from Harris Stowe State College with a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Social Sciences. I also graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia with my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, an Educational Specialist degree from Missouri Baptist University with my degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Reading Certification for K-12 from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. I am a believer that learning is a never ending process!!

I started my journey at Gateway Elementary School in 2002. I previously worked as a Math Lab teacher for 2 years, a First-Grade teacher for 12 years, the Data Coach for a year, then an Academic Instructional Coach.

As one of the Instructional Specialists at Gateway Elementary School, my job is to support teachers and students in the classroom/ virtual learning. You may see me working with students in the classrooms/virtual learning platform, collaborating with teachers, or meeting with faculty members. I look forward to serving the students and staff members at Gateway Elementary School. My Moto is “Whatever it takes” to get the job done effectively.
