    ELA ASSIGNMENTS

    (Week of 11-2-20 students will be given enrichment learning activities to increase their academic skills in ELA. These assignments are a continuation of the skills that were assigned before spring break as well as student IEP goals.

    This week we are working on

    Understanding phonics R.F.3A Decoding words, reading high frequency words, demonstrating decoding words when reading

     Understanding comprehension   R.11.A   Develop apply skills to the reading process. Reading stories that is developmentally appropriate.

     Understanding Vocabulary R.1.B   Develop apply skills to the reading process. Using sentence level context to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words among multiple meaning.

    Student will work on their individual levels.

    Assignments for this week are 

    Log on to IXL website (www.ixl.com)

    Enter your username and password

    Click on the yellow star which gives you the topic and lesson to complete 

    Once you have completed your lesson you will receive a medal

    If you enter an incorrect answer an example of the topic and skill  that you are working on will pop up. Continue to practice until you get your Medal.

    Exit ticket: Your IXL medal!!!! Have Fun!!!! You can do it!!!!

    Students will work on their individual learning level Example: Level B, C1, C2, C4 (Reading Foundations, word recognition, sight words, rhyming words)

    Assignments  and log in information for each student will be sent to your class dojo message box.

     

    Math Assignments

    (Week of 11-2-20) Students will be given enrichment learning activities to increase their academic skills in math. These assignments are a continuation of the skills that were assigned before spring break as well as student IEP goals.

    This week we are working on

     understanding number sense  NS.A.1. Understanding  the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting. 

     understanding addition NBT.A.5  Demonstrate fluency with addition of whole numbers without regrouping.

    The assignments for this week are as follows:

    Look for the yellow star which gives you the topic and lesson to complete 

    Once you have completed your lesson you will receive a medal

    READING ASSIGNMENT (INDEPENDENT READING)

    Read Works has highly engage reading assignments and stories that focus on comprehension skills to help students become better readers. Students will receive support by using the tool ebooks. These ebooks have rich illustration and expressive human voice audio narration to help engage every student. Student questions are at the end of the story.

    Students will be given  an enriched learning activities to increase their academic skills in reading comprehension. Students will be given stories at their individual reading level.
