Mr. Taylor

My name is Mr. Taylor and I serve as the College and Career Counselor for you and your student! I am responsible for supporting and guiding our students to find their “best fit” postsecondary plan. From college to workforce development, Mr. Taylor, I am equipped to support the students at McKinley in any pathway they desire. I am a proud alumni of the Saint Louis Public Schools District, graduating from Soldan International High School in 2012. He then enrolled at the University of Missouri of Missouri-Kansas City where he majored in History and minored in Political Science. At UMKC, I found my passion for education while volunteering with an on-campus organization and speaking with middle and high school-aged students about the importance of a History degree. At this time I also began to recognize the inequities in college and career access and felt compelled to act. After graduating, Mr. Taylor I accepted a position as College Adviser with the Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC) serving two years at Riverview Gardens High School and afterwards serving as a Persistence Advisor with KIPP Through College. I utilize all of my experiences in college and career and engagement and access to better access and support students and families.

I am a proud family man with two children. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching sports, and traveling. I hope to be a resource and a trusted advisor to you and your student! Let's have a great year!
