2nd QuarterPosted by Kellie Tucker on 10/31/2020
We successfully made it through the first quarter of virtual learning. In our time of learning virtually, students wrote, read, performed science investigations, explored rights and responsibilities of citizens, engaged in a range of mathematical activities, and much more. We were able to build a solid foundation for our learning community, all while adapting to different learning circumstances. Facing the challenges of learning virtually, has been a huge undertaking and I am so happy to have the continued support of each parent, family member, and friend that contributed to helping students adapt to the challenges associated with learning virtually. First quarter report cards were sent out via email, so please check your inbox and reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.
The Second Quarter is fully underway, and our learning circumstances continue to evolve. Many of us have returned to an in-person classroom setting, while 30% of our class has opted to continue learning virtually. This means that teachers at Bryan Hill are working to teach students in-person and online, simultaneously. This recent change has presented its own set of adaptations that continue to evolve as we fine tune our approach towards serving the needs of students. With the recent changes, our class schedule has undergone major changes. I have included the link to our updated class schedule below, along with additional information that may be helpful.
In closing, I was delighted to speak with most of you during Parent Teacher Conferences during the Week of October 26th. If you have questions or concerns, I can be reached via phone or email. Thanks!

Week 1 - We're Off to a Great Start!Posted by Kellie Tucker on 9/4/2020
As our first week of Virtual Learning for this school year comes to a close, I just want to reach out to parents to express my gratitude for all of your help in getting students logged on and settled into the school year. This is a huge adjustment for us all and I appreciate your flexibility and patience. For anyone that has not had a chance to review our class schedule, or class log-in information, or the assignments that we worked on this week, I have included links below, with some helpful information.
Please continue to help ensure students are logged in, with their cameras on; the entire school day. Our Virtual School day is from 8:30 AM – 3:10 PM, with a lunch break from 12-12:30 PM. Also, we are asking students to keep their microphones muted, when they are not sharing out or speaking to the teacher, to reduce additional background noise.
As always, please do not hesitate to let me know if you have additional questions or concerns. My contact information is below.
