Future Ready SLPS
Building the Future of Saint Louis Public Schools, Together.

Future Ready SLPS is the district's strategic vision for strengthening Saint Louis Public Schools and ensuring every student is prepared for success in school, career, and life.
As this work develops, this page will serve as the central hub for updates, community engagement opportunities, important documents, and ways to stay informed.
Community Feedback Overview Presented to the Board of Education
On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Superintendent Dr. Myra M. Berry presented a Community Feedback Overview during the Board of Education of the City of St. Louis Work Session. The presentation was shared with both the Board and members of the community as part of the district’s continued commitment to transparency throughout the Future Ready SLPS planning process.
The overview summarizes what the district heard during community engagement efforts following the release of the preliminary Future Ready SLPS portfolio models. It highlights recurring themes, strengths, concerns, questions, and implementation considerations raised by participants through community meetings and online feedback opportunities.

Unable to attend one of our Future Ready SLPS community meetings?
To ensure every family and community member has access to the information presented, we've recorded the first twomFuture Ready SLPS Community Meetings and made them available below.
Each of the three scheduled community meetings follows the same presentation and agenda, with district leaders sharing the Future Ready SLPS vision, explaining the proposed plan, and answering questions from attendees. While the questions and discussion may vary from meeting to meeting, the core presentation remains the same.
Future Ready for Every Family
Every family deserves the opportunity to participate in the Future Ready SLPS conversation.

Superintendent Dr. Myra M. Berry recently met with families in the district's English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program during a dedicated community discussion featuring live interpretation in Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Spanish, and Swahili. Families asked questions, shared feedback, and learned more about the Future Ready plan in their preferred language.
The Future Ready School Portfolio Preview is also available in all five languages.

What is Future Ready SLPS?
Future Ready SLPS is a long-term roadmap focused on strengthening every aspect of our school district while ensuring students receive the high-quality education they deserve.
The initiative is grounded in thoughtful planning, meaningful community engagement, and a commitment to preparing every student for lifelong success.
Rather than making isolated improvements, Future Ready SLPS provides a comprehensive strategy for building a stronger district for today's students and future generations.
Our Commitment to Community Engagement
Future Ready SLPS is built with the community, not simply for the community.
Before introducing the initiative publicly, district leaders are meeting with a diverse group of stakeholders representing education, neighborhood organizations, business, civic leadership, advocacy organizations, social services, families, and students.
This preview meeting is one step in a much larger engagement process designed to strengthen the work through thoughtful feedback before broader community conversations begin.
Community participation remains essential, and every voice matters as we shape the future of Saint Louis Public Schools together.
