Listening to Every Voice: Future Ready Conversation Held with ESOL Families

As part of the Future Ready SLPS community engagement process, Superintendent Dr. Myra M. Berry recently met with families in the district's English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program for a dedicated community conversation focused on the future of Saint Louis Public Schools.

Recognizing that meaningful engagement begins with accessibility, the district provided live interpretation in Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Spanish, and Swahili, allowing families to fully participate in the discussion, ask questions, and share their perspectives directly with district leadership.

Throughout the evening, Dr. Berry answered questions, listened to concerns, and encouraged families to help shape the Future Ready SLPS plan by sharing their experiences and ideas.

Every family deserves the opportunity to understand the district's vision and have a voice in the decisions that affect their children. This special meeting reflected Saint Louis Public Schools' commitment to ensuring every community is included in the Future Ready conversation.
