Great organizations you can join!

Many organizations partner with Saint Louis Public Schools to serve our students and schools. The organizations'methods may differ, but all of them work to enrich the educational experience of our students. Listed below are some organizations that work closely with SLPS and are making an impact in the Saint Louis area community.

Urban FUTURE is a “connector” of family, school, and community in urban areas providing mentoring, tutoring, and career preparation programs to help youth see and believe in their possibilities.
The Little Bit Foundation
The Little Bit Foundation works to provide for the basic needs of disadvantaged children in St. Louis public schools in order to help build their self-esteem and dignity and better prepare them to learn.
Ready Readers, a St. Louis nonprofit organization, inspires preschool-age children from low-income communities to become readers by reading aloud to them, increasing their exposure to quality books, and providing reading-related experiences
OASIS
Through the OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring program, adult volunteers, your neighborhood schools, and OASIS work together to help children build reading skills, self-esteem, and positive attitudes toward learning.
Officially founded in June of 1995 and joining forces with Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (formerly known as Herbert Hoover) in the fall of 2009, Mentor St. Louis continues to provide unique mentoring opportunities to elementary students by pairing them with caring adult volunteers that read with them monthly and contact them weekly.
