St. Louis Public Schools Academic Instructional Coach (AIC) Yearlong PD Plan

This yearlong PD plan is designed to strengthen AIC effectiveness across identified areas of growth drawing from AIC Evaluation data showing the following areas of need: 

3B: Using Questioning and Discussion Techniques
3C: Providing Feedback to Teachers
3D: Ensuring Student Achievement Data Drives Instructional Decisions
3E: Aligning Instruction with Curriculum to Meet the Needs of All Students
4C: Increasing Instructional Skills of the Novice Teacher and Supporting Induction

Additionally, the plan integrates district literacy priorities: implementation of the Science of Reading and 95% Phonics Program. Each month includes: 

• Whole-group PD (live, in-person; full day)
• Grade-band PD (elementary, middle, high school)
• Job-embedded follow-up activity
• Individual artifact prompt for reflection and evidence
