Parents as Teachers

 

 

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a home visiting program offered at no charge to St. Louis City residents with children ages prenatal through 5-years-old. Parents as Teachers promotes optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging parents and caregivers. It is designed to assist parents help their children learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential. Parents receive support through the St Louis Public Schools Parents as Teachers certified parent educators.

The SLPS PAT program is comprised of four components. Each family receives:

• Weekly/bi-weekly private visits
• Group connections
• Annual developmental & sensory screenings
• Connections to trusted resources
