Saint Louis Public Schools is sharing this document to provide the community, employees, families, partners and other stakeholders with additional context regarding the findings of the Missouri State Auditor’s Office and the work underway to address them.

The document is intended to present a more complete picture by outlining key audit findings alongside relevant context, corrective actions already taken or in progress, and the standards by which current district leadership believes that progress should be measured. The audit identifies matters spanning previous district and Board leadership, while the responsibility for addressing those findings now rests with Superintendent Dr. Myra M. Berry, the current Board of Education and the administration.

SLPS is sharing this information in the interest of transparency and public understanding. The district recognizes the importance of accountability and believes that accountability includes acknowledging what occurred, identifying what has changed, clearly communicating what work remains, and measuring whether corrective actions produce meaningful and sustainable results.
