Safety & Security

Objective: To enhance the safety mandates of providing a secure learning and working environment for Saint Louis Public Schools through advanced technology, comprehensive training, and teamwork.

Goal: Equip safety officers with the tools and knowledge needed to best serve staff and students, aiming to reduce school-related incidents. The goal is to provide efficient and reliable service, ensuring all staff and students feel secure and are actively engaged in the process.

Department Structure

The department includes School-Based Officers, Mobile Officers, Supervisors, and Command Security Staff, all working to monitor both the interior and exterior of our schools. Our Officers, Sergeants, and Command Staff are licensed by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The Command Staff, Sergeants, and Mobile Officers are equipped with necessary gear and patrol all schools and district buildings in radio-equipped, marked, and unmarked vehicles.
