School Lead Water Testing Results

Saint Louis Public Schools is committed to transparency and the safety of our students and staff. To ensure a safe learning environment, we regularly test for lead in drinking water across all district facilities. Below, you’ll find the latest lead testing results and information on our efforts to address any concerns.

The results are for the 2023-2024 school year. Samples for the 2024-2025 school year will be collected in Spring 2025 and posted by December 2025.

All water sources testing at 5.0 parts per billion (ppb) or above were immediately removed from service and underwent additional maintenance and remediation.  Before being put back into service, these sources were re-tested to confirm compliance with acceptable levels. 

Remediation includes decreasing lead concentrations below 5 parts per billion (ppb), using methods such as replacement of plumbing, solder, fittings or fixtures, installation of filters and filter devices, or other effective methods in accordance with Missouri SB681 - Get the Lead Out of Schools Drinking Water Act.
