All About Dr. Wanda Davis
Dr. Wanda Davis, a Career and Technical Information Technology Educator, has been teaching Microsoft Certification, programming, web and game design, videography and editing, and photography over the last 18 years in two urban school districts in Missouri. My hope is that by the end of this course you have a new appreciation for the subject matter and will continue your education in the content area. Everything for the students' success will be found when students login into Teams at www.office.com, https://www.pltw.org and/or https://nglsync.cengage.com.
My teaching philosophy focuses on three goals: to always challenge my students to excel and expand their capabilities; to always challenge myself to do the same in my teaching and research to support my improvement efforts; and to constantly explore and implement exciting new curriculum innovations. My goals are very simple, students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. Microsoft Office Suite (MOS) and AP Computer Science programs are rigorous and interactive courses that provide foundational ideas that prepare students for industry required certifications. Reasons why students should become certified: They stand out from the COMPETITION for jobs and scholarships; Demonstrate their expertise in the LATEST TECHNOLOGY; Industry-leading technology skills EASILY RECOGNIZED on their resume; Join an elite team of PROFESSIOONALS; Get a job anywhere in the WORLD; Use their certification in many different CAREER FIELDS. My No.1 priority is to build positive, educational relationships with students through facilitating innovative technologies.
