Meet the Interventionist

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Jim Davis

I am the Interventionist at Nahed Chapman New American Academy. I love the outdoors and spend many hours hiking, camping or just walking trails I find.  I am also an avid reader of books, I will read just about anything.  The students and I are always talking about the best superhero and the most fun comic books.

I was an Intelligence Officer for several years, serving in Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait before transtioning of to the field of education.  I have worked at St. Louis University and SIUE in Illinois before coming to NCNAA.  I truly enjoy watching the students become excited in the library when they find a book they really like.  The constant debates on the best princess or the greatest superhero are magical times.  It is my pleasure and joy to be a part of the students learning.

Some of my favorite outdoor spots include Creve Coeur Lake, Hazlett State Park and Pere Marquette State Park.  Authors I enjoy include JRR Tolkien, Charles Dickens, Shel Silverstein, Mary Shelly and Brandon Sanderson. In my free time, I travel the midwest with my youngest daughter, who is an elite volleyball player.
