Teacher Message:
My name is Mr. Beckemeier and I look forward to another exciting year here at Gateway! I am one of your American History teachers and we will be covering the formation of the United States from the Age of Exploration (1492ish) through Reconstruction (1877 shortly after the Civil War).  During our studies we will conquer both the U.S. and Missouri Constitution tests which enable students to forego taking these tests in high school (1 less thing...). I am a HUGE middle school basketball fan and seldom miss a game (girls or boys...ask around)!
Mr. B is finsihing his 5th year here at Gateway! I graduated from Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Political Science and English Composition. I was a 4-year letterman in football. I graduated from University of Missouri, St. Louis with a Master of Business Administration.  I also have completed 44 graduate hours from St. Louis University School of Law and 27 graduate hours in education from Western Governors University. I spent 12 years with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri as a federal judge's clerk. I have taught at Oakville High School, Langston Middle School and Stevens Alternative School.
Fun Fact:
I am married to my lovely wife Maureen and we have 3 kids: Gabby (25) and the twins, Bobby and Mimi (16).  The fun fact is that BOTH my wife and I are twins AND we had twins!!
